Baby Rhinos | Age 3 - 3.5

New session starts August 13th - Thursday | 5:00 pm

In this class, your child will:

Develop focus and follow basic instructions.

Build coordination and body awareness.

Learn to work with a partner.

Handle frustration and mistakes with

resilience.

Grow in comfort and independence on the mat while learning to be away from parents.

Classes are held in 6-week sessions | Thursdays at 5:00 pm

Free trial class September 8th | 5:00pm

Free trial class October 27th | 5:00pm

The perfect starting point before advancing to our Mighty Rhinos progm.

Mighty Rhinos | Age 3.5-4

Mighty Rhinos is the perfect next step between Baby Rhinos and our Lil Rhinos program. Designed specifically for children ages 3½ to 4, this class introduces young students to a more structured learning environment while keeping instruction engaging and age-appropriate.

Students begin wearing a gi and learning foundational Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and practical self-defense skills.

With several instructors on the mat, children receive plenty of encouragement, individual attention, and hands-on guidance.

Through structured drills and partner activities, students develop listening skills, coordination, confidence, and the ability to follow instructions.

Our goal is to help every child feel comfortable on the mat and prepared to move into the Lil Rhinos program.

Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 PM.

Lil Rhinos Program | Ages 4-6

Lil Rhinos introduces young children to

self-defense jiu-jitsu in a fun, supportive environment designed for ages 4 to 6.

We focus on building your child's confidence while teaching them how to protect themselves through age-appropriate training.

Students learn fundamental Jiu-Jitsu techniques and the core building blocks of self-defense. Safety is our top priority — we focus on proper technique, tapping, and learning control before intensity.

Once a student has built a strong foundation and demonstrated readiness through instructor evaluations, they will be invited to our Advanced Lil Rhinos program - where we introduce basic submissions and more complex grappling skills in a safe and structured way.

Youth Crash | Age 7-11

Youth Crash is Team Rhino's fundamentals program for kids ages 7 to 11, built on real self-defense Jiu-Jitsu.

This program is designed for kids who may not feel at home in traditional sports, children struggling with confidence, or those dealing with bullying. Every student progresses based on skill and effort - not athletic ability or team selection.

What your child will learn: Proven self-defense techniques that empower kids to protect themselves against larger, stronger opponents.

Students build foundational Jiu-Jitsu skills, focus, and discipline in a safe, structured environment.

We believe every child deserves to feel confident and capable. At Team Rhino, that's exactly what we build.

Once a student demonstrates readiness through instructor evaluation, they will be invited to our Advanced Crash program to take their training to the next level.

Classes held in Meridian, Idaho.

Tween Crash | Age 12-14

Middle school is hard. Friendships change. Confidence is shaky. Social pressure is real.

Your child needs more than just a hobby, they need a sense of belonging, strength, and confidence.

At Team Rhino's Tween Program, students ages 12–14 will learn real self-defense, how to defend yourself when a confrontation gets to the ground. It builds confidence and discipline, and growth, both on and off the mat.

Our Tween program bridges the gap between youth classes and adult training. Students learn foundational techniques and will be ready to move into our Adult program at age 15.

Since this is a new program, the class sizes are 2-4 kids!

Classes meet Mondays & Thursdays at 6:15 pm and Wednesdays at 6:15 PM (combo class with the adults)

LEO Defensive Tactics

Officers can receive P.O.S.T. credit for these classes.

Law enforcement Training is a specialized program designed to equip officers with the skills to enhance their ability to handle physical confrontations safely and effectively. This training focuses on leveraging takedowns and restraints, positional control, submission techniques, weapon retention, arrest and handcuffing, defensive tactics, and scenario-based training. As a former law enforcement officer and the creator of the Idaho POST Academy's first ground control curriculum, the late Professor Keith Owen was passionate about teaching police officers and increasing the odds that they return safely to their families.

Classes are every Monday and Friday at 7:00 am.

Team Rhino Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is proud to offer this program to local law enforcement officers.
