Baby Rhinos

Team Rhino is excited to offer this unique program for your three year old. It’s never too early to introduce your young child to the benefits of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu! Our Baby Rhinos program will get them use to being on the mats and build their foundation in their future Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training. Through fun and safe games, your child will learn how to move their bodies while being introduced to the fundamentals. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will help improve their balance, coordination, and body awareness while also building their confidence, discipline, and social skills. We are offering a free trial classes on May 17th 5:45pm and May 22nd 10:30am, for your child to participate in before the next 6-week session that begins May 22nd. Classes are held on Wednesdays at 10:30am and at 5:45pm. One parent is required to be on the mat with their child (or someone 18 and older) we have found that students will focus better in this program with a parent and it also allows you to spend mat time with your child! If you would like your child to participate in an upcoming session and to reserve their spot for the two free classes, please click the "Book 1st Class" at the top right of the page, email [email protected] or text the studio at 208-846-9119. When they turn 4 they are able to move up to our Lil Rhinos program.

Lil Rhinos

Welcome to our Lil Rhinos program, specifically tailored for young explorers aged 4-6! As a parent, you're always looking for opportunities that enrich your child's life, and that's exactly what we offer. Our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes go beyond the basics of martial arts, providing a nurturing space where your little one can learn invaluable self-defense techniques. But it's so much more than just self-defense; it's a foundation for life. Imagine your child, brimming with confidence, not just on the mat but in every aspect of their life. From the classroom to the playground, the skills they learn here will empower them to stand tall, speak up, and step forward. Our program emphasizes physical development, focusing on strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. This not only aids in their motor skill enhancement but also in developing a keen sense of body awareness. We invite you and your little one to join Team Rhino with a two-week trial. It's a chance to witness firsthand the positive transformation that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu can bring to your child's life. The first class will be one-on-one with an instructor explaining what Jiu-Jitsu is, work on basic techniques and then they will take three more classes with the Lil Rhinos students.

Youth Crash

Team Rhino's Gracie Jiu-Jitsu program offers a range of benefits that make it a preferred choice for parents when it comes to enrolling their children. One primary reason is addressing instances of bullying that can significantly impact a child's self-esteem. Unlike traditional organized sports, where not all children may feel comfortable participating, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu provides a unique avenue for physical activity without the pressure of sitting on the sidelines, waiting for their turn. Through Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, children can engage in physical exercise in a supportive environment that emphasizes skill development and personal growth rather than competition. This approach helps children build confidence and self-esteem as they progress in their training. As students gain proficiency in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques under the guidance of our experienced instructors, they become eligible to join our Advanced Crash classes, further enhancing their skills and confidence.

Adult Program

What sets Team Rhino’s program apart? Here are some key features: Customized Introduction: We provide a personalized introduction to our program, where you'll receive one-on-one attention to familiarize yourself with our program's structure, grappling safety, and fundamental techniques. Emphasis on Safety: Ensuring the safety of our students is our top priority. Before engaging in live grappling and attending open mats, participation in the mandatory orientation class is required. Progressive Learning: Our curriculum is designed in a sequential manner, consisting of sets of drills. This approach helps you retain the techniques better and enables you to apply them effectively during grappling sessions. Structured Advancement: Team Rhino follows a structured curriculum for all belt levels, guaranteeing consistent criteria for promotion and clear expectations for progression. Tailored Classes: To cater to individual needs, our classes are divided into three levels - beginners (White belts/Green belts), intermediate (Blue Belts), and advanced (Purple Belt and higher). Each level has dedicated instructors who focus on delivering the specific curriculum for that particular belt level. Team Rhinos Wednesday night classes are No-Gi classes which means MMA Shorts and Rash-guard for class attire. This class is for all adult students.
