There are a million different ways that we become sidetracked or derailed from the goals we’ve set for ourselves, and it’s sometimes difficult to get back on track.
With these 5 ways to stay motivated, you’ll find yourself completing more of your goals with less time on the sidelines.
#1 – Follow people who inspire you: on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, take some time to create a timeline of inspiration. Follow accounts of those who have reached your goals, or those that in some way motivate you to accomplish your goals.
#2 – Break your goal down: if you’re having trouble envisioning the path to your lofty goal, break it down into smaller, more manageable tasks that you can check off over time to help you stay connected to the overall achievement.
#3 – Envision the end goal: what will your life be like when you’ve accomplished the goal you’ve set for yourself? Keeping that front-of-mind will remind you why you’ve created it as a goal in the first place and help push you to achieve it.
#4 – Keep organized: keeping track of your goals by writing them down and tracking your progress can be a great way to stay motivated. Don’t go overboard, though! Organization is meant to make your life simpler, not complicate it!
#5 – Make your goals measurable: ensure that your goals are achievable by making them measurable as far as tracking is concerned. It won’t help you to “lose weight” when there are no specifics as to how much or a completion date, so make sure to write those down!
